London (19 May 2026) – As part of London Climate Action Week, global charity Design for Good will gather experts and luminaries across climate, well-being and design to discuss the power of cross-sector collaboration in creating impact, design’s critical role of improving both human and planet health, and why nature should be considered as a voice in the design process. The event is open to the public and will take place at The London Centre on 26 June.
The panel will also share examples of how Design for Good is creating measurable impact on selected United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
The full speaker and panel lineup includes:
Don Norman, author of "Design for a Better World: Meaningful, Sustainable, Humanity Centered"
Charlot Magayi, founder and CEO of Mukuru Clean Stoves
Cat Drew, Chief Design Officer, Design Council UK
Sean Carney, Design for Good Board of Trustee and former Chief Design Officer of Philips
Dr Delfina Fantini van Ditmar, senior researcher at the Royal College of Art and research professor at CARADT
Cecilia Brenner, Design for Good Managing Director
With a focus on Designing for People and Planet Health, UN SDGs 3 and 13, beginning in October, Design for Good has a goal of improving 10 million lives and measurably regenerating the planet by 2030. This event will take a nuanced look at how human and planetary health are deeply interconnected.
“The quality of the air we breathe, the water we drink, our food and the health of our planet have a direct impact on our personal health and well-being,” said Brenner. “As more and more people from every part of the world are affected, we must act to regenerate all life on Earth.”
Register for free tickets here. Space is limited, so the public is encouraged to reserve a spot early.
The event will come a day after Design for Good is set to host a celebration to mark the end of its cycle focused on UN SDG 4: Quality Education, share impact updates of projects focused on clean water and sanitation, and give insights on the next cycle. Erin Chemery, Senior Project Officer, UNESCO, will give the keynote during that event.
